Contact ZeroBG
ZeroBG is built and maintained by one person. If something is broken, if a cutout came out wrong, or if you want a feature, writing to me is the fastest way to get it looked at. There is no support team and no ticket system, just an inbox.
I read everything. I usually reply within a couple of days, though it can be longer at busy times. This is a free tool maintained in spare time, so please treat the response time as best effort rather than a guarantee.
What is worth writing about
- A cutout that came out badly. This is the most useful thing you can send. Tell me what the image was like, hair against a busy background, a transparent glass object, a product with a thin stand. I cannot see your image, so a description of the subject matters more than anything.
- Something broken. Please include your browser and version, your operating system, and whether it fails every time or only sometimes. If the page showed an error message, the exact wording helps a great deal.
- A feature you actually need. Requests grounded in a real task you were trying to finish get priority over general ideas.
- Something factually wrong on the site. If a guide says something inaccurate, or a claim about privacy or offline behaviour does not match what you observe, I want to know immediately. Those claims are the whole point of the site and they need to be correct.
What I cannot help with
I cannot recover or look at your images. ZeroBG processes everything inside your own browser and never receives a copy, so if you lost a result by closing the tab, it is genuinely gone and there is nothing on my side to retrieve. That is the direct consequence of the privacy design, and it is a trade I think is worth it, but it does mean there is no undo once a tab is closed.
I also cannot offer commercial support agreements, guaranteed response times, or custom development.
Privacy and licensing enquiries
For questions about how the site handles data, read the privacy policy first, which covers what is and is not collected in detail. If it does not answer your question, email the address above. The same goes for the terms of use, including questions about using cutouts commercially.
Who runs this
ZeroBG is an independent side project, not a company. It is free to use with no account, no upload, and no usage limit, and it is funded by advertising and by voluntary donations from people who find it useful. More about why it exists and how it works is on the about page.
